Overall
Your HP/Compaq iPaq may be your most valuable posession in day to day
use. How can you keep your iPaq 3800 or 3900 series both stylish
and well protected? Check out this PDAir leather case. As usual,
the build quality of this leather PDair case is impeccable. The stitching
is well done throughout, providing a clean, high quality look.
The iPaq slides right in, and are held snuggly in place by two plastic "holsters" on
each side of the case. Then you have a removable screen protective flap
that is very soft on your screen. On the opposite side you can store
your photo ID if you want to use this as your iPaq wallet, and you can
also slip in some cash or credit cards as well. On top you can put in
a few extra memory cards too.
In terms of protection, this case is adequately padded to protect your
LCD and all sides of your iPaq. In a hard fall on the very bottom however,
there is a possibility of the iPaq alipping out the bottom and causing
a scratch near the hotsyn connector port. The upside is that you only
have to slide the case halfway off to perform a cradle hotsync.
Another important aspect of the PDair case is that you get easy access
to the stylus on the side as well as the power switch. Every case is
a trade off between protection and access and the PDair case gives you
maximum functionality without sacrificing the protection.
Overall, this is a fine case for you if you want a leather case for your
iPaq, and especially if you occassionally want it to double as your wallet!
